- Love INC of South Albuquerque helps people living South of I-40.
- We have a Clearinghouse (a call-in center) that people can phone to request assistance.
- During a client's first call we record their contact information to start their file.
- Then an Intake Volunteer calls back to do an interview over the phone with the client. The phone interview lets us know how many people live in the household, what the needs are, and the income level.
- Love INC verifies this information with a third party such as a landlord or employer.
- Once the intake is complete, the client is put on a list to receive help for their specific needs.
- Clients who need help with furniture usually have to wait 6-8 weeks because we do not have enough donations on a weekly basis to meet the demand.
Other clients needing minor home repairs or yardwork are helped as volunteers are available with the specific skills needed to help.
Love INC currently has two automotive shops that can help with repairs if the client can afford their own parts.
